The double viaduct of Culan, curved on 1.5 mile, with its roadway wearing basalte de Volvic and its seize arches arches the highest of which drives its piers 50 meters deep in the Gorges of the Arnon, is a splendid remnant of the ancient railway line from Châteauroux to Montluçon.

Across the Berry and the Bourbonnais,it connected the departments of Indre, Cher and Allier.

Culan is situated on the famous "route Jacques COEUR", where several tens of castles can still be visited.
